Water leaking from under refrigerator

We pulled into a park in Austin, Texas, hooked up and started noticing water on the floor in front of the frig. Further investigation shows water seaping from under the refrigerator. I'm guessing the water line to the ice maker, which we never use, is leaking deep in the interior under the frig.

How do I get to the water line? I remember a thread a while ago about removing your ice maker and stopping this problem...

Hi, Most fridges have an access cover with 2 screws near the floor. There should be a shutoff valve under there to keep water from going up to the icemaker.
Sometimes the valve leaks. If you don't use the icemaker you probably should unplug the icemaker (120V) cord at the outside fridge access.

I found the icemaker cut off valve outside and turned it off. The water has been turned back on and so far (about 1 hour), no drips or seeps from under the fridge. Stay tuned. I'll unplug the icemaker.

I had water doing as you described. It had been raining and the campsite was not completely level and I couldn't get the coach perfectly level. Turns out that water was running down the side of the coach into the refrigerator cover (at the bottom) and then out into the coach. I thought it was the ice maker (which you problem could well be) but the fix for me was to lay a bead of caulking behind the exterior cover on the bottom lip forming a kind of dam. That way is water gets past the cover it can't continue inside the coach. Jim Twamley Professor of RVing. And yes today I have my reading glasses on :)

You might also open up the outside access cover and make sure the condensation drain tube is in the cup so it drains properly. We had the same problem and found that the tube had come out of the container and was draining down the bace of the refrigerator.

Jim,

Anything is possible, but for water to be running into the coach through the fridge cover like that it was either raining sideways or your coach was WAY off level. If it was that far off level, you will ruin your refrigerator internally pretty quickly if you have an absorption fridge.

Yes, it was raining sideways and the best made coach in the world was leaking rain water through the refer exterior vent and it was running into the interior. And yes, we were not perfectly level and the refer still works fine and the caulking solved the problem. It was also happening when we drove in the rain.
