THE TRIBUTE SAGA CONTINUES!

Good Morning everyone:

Well our adventure with our NEW 2007 TRIBUTE continues: This morning woke to find water on the Bedroom carpeting. Not sure what was going on, so started pulling access panels. Finally under the refrigerator found a Hot Water Supply line leaking, after the outside reinforcement had ruptured and started a steady drip.

I've posted here several times with many issues on this unit and wish we had NEVER wasted so much money buying this ROLLING piece of junk. We should have kept our 5th wheel!! Anyone and Everyone who is considering purchasing a Country Coach, BOTTOM LINE: DON'T!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SOMETHING THAT IS GONNA CAUSE YOU NOTHING BUT HEADACHES! Off my soapbox again,

Well, I don't blame you for being upset. You are not alone! Those hoses are cheap and the design is poor. The design is poor because on my coach its an all day job getting one hose out and another one installed. Also, they give you no way to isolate, so you have to go without water until you get it repaired. Also, the hoses rub as the slide moves which causes wear.

You were lucky that your hose was only dripping. Those hoses will blow with no warning and start filling your coach with water at city pressure (or less with your reducer).
I have had to change those under sink hoses twice, once after a year and again 18 months later. I now carry a spare.
The bottom line is that those hoses are a ticking time bomb. If one blows and you are not there, you will flood the inside of your coach.
Its hard for me to believe that Country Coach has not changed the design. They have to know that customers are ordering lots of hoses.
More upsetting to me was that the last time a hose blew I was near Junction City and Country Coach would not fix it. They were nice enough to sell me another hose.

Our '05 Inspire has been used more than the average and, so far, no water line problems.
Our 36' did not come with an exterior source water filter allegedly because of lack of space - it has a dual filter now but is it possible there is no pressure regulator in the Tribute/Inspire line?

I'm sure it is at least 2 things. Defective hose, and poor installation, as well as poor design.

We have a pressure regulator inline from the outside water source.

The funny thing about this is: We're sitting still in an RV park, not running down the road and we have only put 1700 miles on the coach since we bought it!

This stuff just should not be happening on a coach we have only had for 6 months.
