greetings

Hi. I have just joined the CC owners group as I just purchased a 2000 Allure, 36 ft Deschutes, with one slide. Previously I had a gas Bounder for 8 years. My wife, Pauline, and I both retired two years ago, sold our house in Nov, 2000 but unluckily got stuck in Mass caring for my aged parents. My father died last Sept at age 93 but my 91 year old mother is still alive. She has been in a nursing home for the past month...There is no other family here and I did promise to fulfill this commitment...Noble or foolish??? Anyway, once free we will become fulltimers. I have been planning for such a life for years and hopefully this newer Allure will make the lifestyle more comfortable and interesting. Hope to join you at rallies in the near future! I have all ready posted one question about a leaking front air conditioner unit. That probably is condensation related and have gotten one post on the subject. Some more questions: why no shoulder belts? Why only one water pump switch and one water heater switch both up front? My Bounder had 3 pump switches at obvious locations...Also, I have not located a device for pumping antifreeze thru the water pump for winterization purposes...What you all go south for the winter??? I hope we do too! Much obliged, Mike Lewis.

Mike,

In my last rig I had the system that would draw the antifreeze in through the pump for winterizing. With my Intrigue, I drain everything and then use a compressor to blow any remaining water out.
That works well and I don't have to worry about getting rid of the antifreeze taste in the spring time.
Congratulations on your rig, I am sure you will enjoy the Allure.
