leveling

We've really been enjoying our new-to-us 1995 36' Intrigue. In fact, the only problem we've had with it is leveling. In maybe the majority of the campgrounds we've been in so far, the leveling system is unable to achieve fully level conditions, due to slopes which exceed its leveling capacity. We took it to a parking lot and measured the extend of travel for the front and back air bags, measuring at four points around the coach with the bags fully deflated, then inflated.
The front vertical travel was ~7", the rear 2", giving a maximum of 7" of fall that can be handled.

Do these numbers make sense? If not, what are we doing wrong? If this problem is typical, what is the general solution? Surely, we're not going to have to carry blocks! :)

Bill, from what you state, it appears that your rear air bags don't get inflated much anymore. Both the rear and front airbags on my unit travel pretty much the same distance (I have never measured how much, but expect your 7-8" is about normal).

Ours would not level and it was the switch in the front bay. My husband fixed it, it was easy. CC told him what to do. Another time we had to replace the ride height valve. That worried us, but again was pretty easy for the tech to fix.
If you want more info email us and I'll have Don tell you what he did.

Intrigue 10678

I have a 98 CC Intrigue 40' #10616 w/100k mi. Took it to get it inspected yesterday - all was fine. Got gack home & parked in the drive to do some clean up on the pad b4 parking. Started engine to park the coach and indicator would not go to "travel". Now all 4 corner red lights are on and it's on all 4 knees. CC tech suppt suggested making sure it was grounded on the center of the 3 solenoids in frnt drvr bay. Connection was corroded - cleaned it up - re connected - no help. Checked all fuses in HWH box in passenger side dash - all look ok. Pressint the "up" arrow causes the sound of a pump coming on but coach does not raise. Same for all 4 corners. Any ideas b4 I have to call mobile service would be appreciated.

Thanx,
