Light problem

Yahoo Message Number: 2607
My dash & tail lights do not light. The problem began intermittently, but now is constant. The schematic shows that the two are tied together. The switch is working & providing power. All fuses are working, although none are marked taillights--only dash lights. Anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions before I start my search?

Thanks for any help in advance............Steve Intrigue #10673

Not sure I can help, Steve, but I am familiar with this problem. I had all of my tail and marker lights fail in a Monaco Windsor. Luckily, I was near a service shop with late evening hours when a trucker called me on the CB to tell me I was "invisible" in the dark.

The shop traced the problem to the license tag light bulb which had blown and kind of welded itself to its socket. The mechanic was just about ready to give up after checking everything else he could think of when he got this hunch and plugged his tester into the tag light.

The repair was very simple after that.

Maybe this helps. Good luck !

From my experience I would start with the connection to the tow vehicle to see if any of the contacts are shorted or are shorting to ground. That was where I had this problem manefest twice, and then I got smart and got a plastic connector that will not rot, rust, or degrade. ron bodeen '01Intrigue #11262

Steve,

If your tail lights are not working it could be in the fuse box at the rear of your coach on the right hand side in the engine compartment, have you checked those yet? Most people overlook this small fuse box.
