Sometimes storage is not the most important feature to consider when looking at a tag verses a non tag, safety was our consideration. The tag does have less storage but you get two additional brake drums, more stability on the road, a great place to store two extra long sewer hoses, extra weight carrying capacity, better turning radius with tag up and two additional air bags. With the tag you can also run with lower air pressure in the tires (after you do a 6 point weigh). On the tag both bays are complete pull thrus and with sliding trays in both bays the entire area is very convenient. I thing these added features are well worth less storage, but then we are not full timers and do not carry everything you all carry.

Bill,

Excellent points on the tag axles. One question though, where exactly are you storing these sewer hoses? I have a 40' Intrigue with the tag.

Rob,

I store the sewer hoses between the tag and the drive axle. On the 2001 Magna there are 2 chrome doors for the sewer hose, one on each side of the coach, they go in at least 2 feet and they are 2 hoses wide. Maybe this storage area is not on the Intrigue, but it is a wonderful place for the hoses on the Magna.
