Linda & Don,

We have used both Progressive and GMAC (National General). Since we had never heard of National General, I called the California Insurance Commissioner's office and asked about them. The state office told me that National Genreal, now called GMAC, was the second highest rated auto insurance company in the strate. We switched and saved almost 50% over Progressive for the same coverage. We use them for our coach and auto and we are looking into using them for our homeowners insurer.
